Pastoral Council Nomination Form
Nominations for the Mother Teresa Pastoral Council are now being accepted. If you would like to nominate yourself for this vital ministry, please complete this form and return it by Thursday May 30 2019 to the Welcome Table in the cafeteria or email the completed form to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nominees must be 18 years old or older and registered parishioners of Mother Teresa. We will be electing between 3-5 new members to the Council which will be done at the June 6th meeting.
The Nomination Process is as follows:
- A bulletin announcement will go in for May 12th bulletin (due May 6th) inviting members of the community who are registered Mother Teresa Catholic members in good standing, to submit their SELF nomination form (attached) by no later than Thursday May 30th by electronic submission or paper submission. Forms will be made available at the Information table beginning on Sunday May 12th and on our website. They will not be honored if received after May 30th.
- Forms collected and submitted to the Elections Chair will then be reviewed by the Elections Chair and the
Administrator/Business Manager to ensure the self-nominated individual is a registered Catholic in good standing (time, talent & treasure) and then prepared for distribution to the Pastoral Council members by June 3rd or sooner if possible.
- If we do not receive the necessary number of submissions for consideration at the June 6th meeting, we resolve to
appoint those deemed qualified to the open positions and leave the remain seats empty for possible appointment by the Council or Fr. Daniel in the future.
- We will require at least one representative from the current council to be present at the welcome table for both masses starting on May 12 to May 26 to answer any questions that the parishioners may have.
We would like to invite you to participate in one of our many ministries. Our growing community has opportunities for involvement in many areas. Noted ministries do require training, which is offered on regular intervals. Volunteers are assigned on a rotating schedule and a weekly commitment is not necessary. Please prayerfully consider joining us in serving our community.
Please take the time to watch this training video with Mr. Gerard Hall, the former Director of the Office of Divine Worship, Diocese of Raleigh.
