Bishop Zarama Installation
The Diocese of Raleigh will celebrate evening prayer August 28 at 7 PM in the Holy Name of Jesus Catheral in anticipation of the installation of The Most Reverent Luis Rafael Zarama as sixth Bishop of Raleigh. The prayer service is open the public.
The Most Reverend Wilton Gregory, Archbishop of Atlanta will preside. He and our new Bishop Zarama will greet guests afterwards. The Diocese of Raleigh is part of the Atlanta Province.
The Installation Mass August 29 will be live streamed here beginning a 2 PM. Archbishop Gregory will preside.
Bishop Zarama, 58, comes to Raleigh after most recently serving in the Archdiocese of Atlanta as an auxiliary bishop. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1993 and to the episcopacy in 2009.
